How Can I Re-Create The Background of this Picture?

Hello, Is there anyway I can make this background in Photoshop CS5 and how to do it ?? :)

I made a new layer filled it with any colour, then made a new layer on top of that and started using the pen tool to make crosses and stroking the lines with a brush setting - i then blurred all the crosses i made and added a grain over the top, added original model then made another new layer 50% fill with white and theres the finished effect not exactly like yours but if you play around with the settings you will get there.
