How to create a hole like appearance in a 3D Shape?

Hi,

I want to add a hole (like the one in the top) in the 3D shape shown in the middle of the image, the size of the hole is like the one shown in the red?

Please someone share the step by step tutorial.

?????? I don't understand the question here.

I want to add a hole (like the one in the top)
The upper sample image is in a totally different perspective. You can't have the same hole in the middle sample image..........wrong perspective.

This is the only thing that makes sense.
Two rectangles and two Layer styles.

Wow, this is what i need. Thank you so much. Please share the value of the layer styles you used. Also, teach if i don't want the hole till the other side, what if i have to stop in the mid?

We have discussed this. Please don't ask. This is very simple and easy to make! It's a matter of experimenting!
Very simple Bevel & Emboss on both.
Inner shadow on skinny rectangle.

i don't want the hole till the other side, what if i have to stop in the mid?
Just adjust the layer style.

Two rectangles and layer styles. Fill set to 0% on upper/outer rectangle.
