Any idea how to acheive this exact text effect?Text effect : how to get this text effect.jpgDoes this kind of text effect have any name? I know moonlight text effect and since i'm new to photoshop, i do not understand what blending effect settings need to be applied to text.Detailed instructions on above text effect is highly appreciated.I would really appreciate if you also direct me to similar text effect tutorials. Cheers!!P.S. I'm looking for exact effects. So kindly provide detailed settings for this. Cheers!!

which 1?
there are 2 different
top is just normal text with a shadow behind it.
bottom normal again with some gradient to give it a metal look

both could be done using the "Blending Options" when you right click on a layer

Those are not 2 different text effects. Its the same.
Can you please tell me what blending options need to be set for this effect? Exact settings under blending options to get exact output? Cheers!!

It's not a blending effect.

Type your text in Photoshop, then double-click your layer to get your layer options.

My best guess is a light bevel-and-emboss effect. (maybe pillow emboss)

There is also a gradient on the letter faces. Choose a light-gray-to-almost-white gradient, CTL+click your text layer (forget if you need to rasterize it first), then use the gradient tool to get the fade effect.

See how that looks.

What agent said, except that it's an inner bevel, hard chisel with the size brought right down. Everything else I agree with .
