I'm doing a project where I select an object from 1 picture and transfer it to a new file. There I can change backgrounds, insert text and just about manipulate anything I want.
My problem is that all the selection tools I've used produced edges that are not sharp. I wanted the selected object to have sharp edges.
I've tried extract filter, magic wand tool, lasso tool and a combination of these plus quick mask but the results I get vary from having rugged edges to smooth but irregular edges.
Hope someone can show or tell me a good technique. I'm willing to experiment to get the result I want as I know I need the practice to perfect my technique.
