I sampled three colors (pink sign, green grass, blue jersey) from the same spots on both images. Below are the color details of those samples. Looking at the HSB values for each color—Hue, Saturation, Brightness—it seems that the biggest difference is in the Saturation component. Whoever made the adjustment in the edited version has reduced the overall saturation of the image.


There are also some minor differences in the Hue and Brightness components, but the easiest way to (mostly) replicate the effect is to place a Vibrance adjustment layer above the image and then reduce the Saturation.
