Not necessarily with a .raw extension... I will probably keep the .cr2 for the raw files.... the MAIN thing i want to accomplish is give my files custom names (for my file system) and keep the raw files with the same number as the jpg's...

I keep the jpgs for easy viewing (for my wife) in windows viewer.. and then i have the raw files for editing...

clear as mud???
