Im trying to edit the Board Logo

Welcome to the community realneed4speed. [excited]

Hate to be the voice of reason here but, first, make sure you have permission to do this... specifically if this logo is the default one from the board -- i.e. not your creation.

Second... there's no "easy" way to edit an image that you only have in a 'flattened' version. You basically have to block out the areas you want to edit, and recreate them using the new stuff you want to put in those areas.

:B

realneed4speed, why would you want to edit someone elses work, permission or not?
If you ever want to learn to be creative, then you have to make a start by doing it yourself and not by manipulation the creative work of others.
Sorry, but that's the way I look at it :)

With the PHP boards we load, if you contact the owner of the graphics they will generally make the changes for you. They tend to get upset if you edit their original work. I would either make my own graphics or contact the owner of the skin you have to see if they can make the edits for you.

I think what you want to do is replace the invision board logo with one that is your own, right? Ivisionboard doesn't have a problem with you doing this. Create the logo you want and label it logo4.gif (that's assuming you are running version 1.2). Now overwrite the current logo4.gif, using your ftp client, in "style_images" "1" assuming you're using the default skin.

PM me if you have anymore questions about invisionboard.

yea.. i changed the whole board design.. just used his design as a template.. hehe.. heres the site
index.php
not finished.. i am getting a domain soon.. and will start to advertise it too!

Looking good realneed4speed :righton:

From a 'constructive critcism' point of view, there's an awful lot of "lines" jig-jagging" around. Specifically, a block on the upper right hand of the page and then the 'grid' background is interrupted (broken up) on various other areas of the page. Just a bit "disturbing" on the eyeballs... :\ mho...

Well.. the thing with that is.. that the "header" is the logo.. its not the background.. and i have to make the background bigger for the lines to connect and i think instead of inserting 20x20 pixels as the background i should insert one X

:D Looks better already realneed4speed! ;) :righton:
