Invert doesnt works well (you know, B/N to N/B)

Hi to all, 8))

when i draw a white line on a black surface and i invert it (Image>Adjusments>Invert), the black is converted to white but the white line is converted, not to black but to one color like brown-grey...!!

Anyone can help me?

What is the opacity of the drawing tool?
Are you sure that you are using pure white? (Hit D (default colors), then X (switch colors) if necessary)
