Helllo, i have a kinda strange problem,

i have made a normal map for a model to be used in an animation but it has baked incorrectly for some reason. I have figured out that the red channel has been partially inverted, now what i mean by that is that from left to right as if over a gradient the channel has been inverted. Now i have never used channel manipulation much so im not sure how to fix this. I hecked the manual but there doesnt seem to be anything much on channels, so if anyone could help me out thatd be great

can i extract the channel to another layer or image then i could get it done from there ust using layers and masks i think..
