Hi everyone.
I am trying to create a .GIF file and I getting along fine with creating it and transfering it to ImageReady and making the clip there. I want to put the .GIF on a group in facebook but I do not know how to make the .GIF small enough so that FB will not detect it and flatten the image. Which is the best way or how do I start with a new PS document so that I can edit the image ready for uploading to FB?
Thanks

simple: if you want to make layer animation then you need to save your file in gif format (file- save for web device) and select gif formate, if your image is single layer simply press ctrl+shift+s and save file in gif format.

Hi Dayvid,

Not sure if this is what your referring to but you can reduce the size of the .gif by opening the original .psd that you used to create the .gif, and make it smaller using IMAGE > IMAGE SIZE (111 x 74 px). Once done, save the newly resized animation as a .gif (save for web) or, according to some tutorials, save as a .psd but give it a new name. When you close out the original .psd, don't save the changes.
