I've got lots of images all different sizes, I want to put them all in a 800x800 box so they fit to width or height

Simply use the image processor (or image processor pro)

> File > Scripts > Image processor...
You can also use "Fit Image".
> File > Automate > Fit Image...

Can't see anything there.
That doesn't do what I want, that just makes an image 800x800 I want the image to be centre of an 800x800 box, as per attachment

The image processor is part of photoshop an uses the same "fit image" function.
In combination with a little action (which changes the canvas size to 800x800px) it could work...otherwise use a conditional action or the image processor pro from xbytor (google will help)
