Menu won't pop out on Styles Palette

Using Photoshop 7. Windows

When I click the triangle near the right side top of styles palette, the pop-out menu does not pop out.

This feature works on the other palettes.

Is there something I have set that prevents it from working?

Is there another way to get to the menu to load some new styles?

It doesn't matter whether I have selected a picture that has layers.

Hi fotobill,

This happened to me one time, too - only with me it was the Actions palette. I'd click the arrow and it would stick down, but the menu wouldn't pop out.

I never figured out what caused it, but I found two ways to clear it:

1.) Reinstall Photoshop.

- or -

2.) Reset your preferences. In Photoshop 6 and up, hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac) immediately after launching Photoshop.
