Need help achieving this kind of pattern/noise on a photo

Hi there,
I'm trying to achieve a similar type of pattern/noise effect in Photoshop as the picture I posted. I've tried messing around with color halftone and a bunch of other filters but I can't seem to be able to replicate that look. There seems to be some sort of horizontal linear pattern, some noise/grain and some purple hues in there.
Would anyone have some ideas?

Take a look at this TUTORIAL.

Using some techniques that I picked up in this tutorial, I created the following, which is fairly close to your examples.
I probably should have added a blue layer to create the yellow band/tint but I'm pressed for time.
