Hello fellow photoshop users!

I need some advice and a friend recommended this forum.

What I'm trying to do is add shapes, change colors and such on the attached image and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or guides to make these changes look realistic.

The first problem I've encountered was adding white stripes to the shirt. I've tried layer modes, adjustment layers and using displace filter, but I cannot seem to get this the right way, the white never gets the texture of the shirt (thought of maybe finding the same shirt texture or getting it directly from the image and then applying it to the white stripes) nor does it look like real white colored stripes on it.

I'd really appreciate any help I can get on this :S

Hello. Not sure about this my self. But I think if you make a picture of the t-shirt straight, flat as possible, without any bends. Then you can add some stripes. And by using layers you can ad any texture to it.

Before you say anything in reply to this, please realise I have rushed through the practical, just to show you one of the many methods in which this can be done. This is quite an advanced method, but if you can manage to follow the instructions, you will have learnt a valuable technique.

Thank you for the thank you, but I have still not had any feed back off DeadWeatherMilo, so I don't know weather this has helped in any way. Maybe they have just gone for a nice weekend away somewhere.
