What a friendly group!!
I've been gaining the grey matter of Photoshop in my mind and have been trying to get through some barriers like layers and masking and rollovers... The tutorials here are great and hopefully I can post our website for some input on making it better...
Now It's kind of funky [confused] but hey it's my first!!!
Glad to be here and thanks for the welcomes!!!

Newbies First Website

It took a while to get the courage to ask for advice on our website!! [confused] :)
First a little background!! There is none!!!
Well......... This is my first computer, got it for our organization and to get us out here on the web four months ago. The site has gone through many upgrades and hopefully I'll get it just right sometime in my lifetime!
Please be gentle!!!! :)

your site loads fast
easy navigation
these are 2 very important ingredients for a good website :righton:

as a rule I don't like FrontPage this is a personal prefrence so don't worry too much about that but the site does need a couple of things to make it sucessfull........
page description, meta tags and page title
from what I saw you had one of these so I suggest you make sure you have the other two

there that was gentle right :D
well done :}

... freedomtribenw ..
What is meta tags?
... to give you a quick answer to your question I suggest you could visit .. http://www.risingfree.co.uk/tutorials/metags.php ... I have bookmarked the site for my own info (I need to do some meta tag stuff myself) :) ... there are many here who could answer meta tag questions but that site would be a good starting point for you :righton:

Your site looks good, freedomtribenw! :righton: I like your colour scheme of blue and green... very evirnomentally friendly! :)

Good info, Ian! :righton:

Hey! Thanks a lot!! I got the Meta Tags in, I think!!
I've been trying to get the tables on there but they are hard to position exactly where I want them, been a pain in the neck!
We will do whatever it takes for the site to be better so let me know if there are changes you would make!
Again Thanks! :righton:

... if you have 'front page' on your computer then I suggest you "cheat" ... set up your tables on a dummy page in 'front page' on your computer and then copy and paste the essential html code into your website via the file manager :D .. it saves alot of frustration and I use it to see how the html code is written so I can do it without 'fp' next time [shhh] :D :D
... and...
We will do whatever it takes for the site to be better
... I would suggest that you have already done step 1 (it loads fast - especially important for modem users) and step 2 (easy navigation - 'cos not everyone is internet savvy) ... as you are what I call "an information site" all you need now is clear, concise content ..... oh, and I nearly forgot step 4, work on your thank you speeches for when the site awards start pouring in ;) :D :D :D
