Old picture restoration.


Is this the actual size of the image? If not, can you post the original so we can see the details?
 
great job, like having a go at restoring these old pictures... do you know any website were you can find damaged pictures?
 
Yes, that’s the original size of the image.
OK. Without being able to see details, it's hard to critique your work. I see several problem areas that need to be addressed.

Here you can still see the line where the image was torn. The middle arrow even shows misalignment.

This shows the remnant of the scratch by the dark area on the upper lip and beside the nose. Also on the other side.

The lip itself is has a very dark area.....

Here is more what it should look like with the scratch more properly removed...

The added ear looks fake, is too small, and too high up on the head. The lighting is off and it's also rotated.

Not sure what's going on here, none of this was in the original image. Looks like repeated cloning.

There are some other minor issues but your off to a great start! Keep up the practice!
 
Thanks for the advice. I had to cut the ear off another picture because the original image didn’t have one.
