Only one of my PSD files is now "not compatible"

Hello all, not sure if this is already on the forum. Tried to do a search but wasn't sure how to type in my problem. I've been working on a new piece and after saving and restarting my laptop (Win7-64) my psd is now only getting an error box in both Photoshop CS6 and CS5.1. Was hoping to use the image as some sort of wedding decor, but not sure if I want to start from scratch...

Not sure if there is a way to recover, but if anyone could help, it would be super super helpful. Thanks so much!

I had a similar problem like this but can't remember my fix.

If it's the couple you need, just cut it out using the pen tool.

I'll try and figure how I solved this.

Thanks so much, I've been digging around a little bit but have only found dead ends. Figured you guys (and gals) were the way to go.

Wish I could cut out the people, but it's uncompleted with about 50 gazillion layers. The jpeg was just a 'check out how it's going' example.

Actually found that Windows saved previous versions of my file. I guess I got lucky but will be sure to make plenty of backups from now on!
