Well, I'm not being funny but the explanation is in the message.....not enough opaque pixels.

I can only assume you are trying to 'patch' using a selection consisting of 'transparent' pixels.....PS obviously doesn't like that as it doesn't have enough information on which to make calculations to blend in the 'patch'.

Try making the selection around 'non-transparent' pixels and you should be fine.
