I'm using Photoshop CS5 on windows 7 64-bit ... I've downloaded a plug-in (it's my first time to download one as im new at using photshop) .. my problem is that i've copied the plug-in to the (plug-ins folder) but when i restart PS i find nothing installed

i dont know if this helps or not but the program is installed on the (D:\) Drive not on the (C:\)
Thanks in advance

I would put it on your C drive and then double click on the add-on which will open Photoshop with the add-on installed. I hope this works!

The plugin might not be compatible with CS5 most especially the older ones for previous PS versions. Check the documentation or contact third-party plug-in manufacturer for versions of their plug-ins that are compatible with Photoshop CS5 for 64 bit.

Very few plugins actually just mean putting it in the plugin folder some come with installers some dont. Also are you using 64 bit ps and using a 32 bit plugin have you put the plugin in 32 bit plugin folder and using 64 bit ps etc. Have you checked your filter menu usually appears there or extensions that need to be loaded so it is not auto loaded everytimme you load up ps.

Also what plugin is

I'll try to install other plug-ins other that what i've already installed and i'll inform you back
thank you so much everyone :)
