Hello all , how r u ?
I've PS CS5 with Win7 64bit
The PS take too much time to start-up more than 1 minute
My laptop is Dell with :
Core i3 2.13GH
6GB Ram
1GB VGA.

I'vent too much plug-ins , we talk about 10 actions.

Thank You.

When did you last do a disk clean up you may find you have lots of tempory files in your system.

Start > accessories> system tools > disk cleanup

tick all the boxes and run it deleting all your tempory files.

if it is still low you may want to run a registry cleaner something like ccleaner should do you

perhaps use malwarebytes anti spyware to check you have no spyware on your computer.

in photoshop

go to edit > preferences > performance and turn up the available ram for photoshop making sure you still have 1 gig spare to run windows.

reset your brushes, custom shapes layer styles back to default if you have imported several

if you have pluginns like extensis suitcase font manager and Nik colour effex pro disable them on photoshop startup they slow the startup speed a lot.

if you have hundreds or thousands of fonts then reset them back to system defaults by using a program called font frenzy lots of fonts installed takes photoshop a long time to load

Instead use a font manager like suitcase fusion or Nexus font manager for a free 1 and nly install the fonts you need temporairily.

If you want fonts installed pernamently go to c:\windows\fonts
On the left hand side click font settings and under installation tick the box that says allow fonts to be installed as a shortcut
then when you next install fonts at the top next to font name you will get a new check box that says install font as a shortcut.

This way you can have folders full of fonts installed all in 1 location anywhere on your computer and they will not slow down the load up process of any application that needs fonts

If your system is still slow then maybe you have damaged ram and your computer is not reading all the available ram do a test on your ram to check it is all there quick way is to right click computer \Properties in the start menu and it will show you the available ram

Persuming you have taken all these steps and no hardware problems no spyware or viruses then maybe your hard drive is not a fast 1 like samsung spinpoint f1 7200 rpm so maybe look at upgrading to a solid state drive all though this will boot photoshop up 80% faster than a normal hard drive I doubt this is the issue.

clean up your c drive I am sure that is the issue and disable plugins at start up they will still work if you select them in photoshop but they will not be loaded as soon as you open photoshop.

if i was the mods, i'd run an IP check on this guy... i'm willing to bet it would come up with the same IP address as the other guy "Hamad"...

know a troll when you see one guys...

ok well did the name not raise a red flag for you?

"too much plug ins, we talk about 10 actions ?"

come on. this is a kid having fun. what educated adult goes onto an english forum where they can't speak english and ask for technical advice? plus... no reply.

there is a reply the translation came from google probably and innocent until proven guilty

valid reasons for photoshop being slow is 3rd party plugins and lots of custom actions

we have members from every country here because we are known as 1 of the best forums and place highly on search engines So yes I do expect every now and again to have none english speakers come here for help. You have to also remember there may not be such forums in there own native language.

I much prefer for someone to make the effort of using some translation software or attempting to type a foreign language so we can get the gist of the thread than somebody come along and post in there own language and get the thread deleted.

It sounds a problem here
I from jordan My name is " B A D E R "
Actually I'm having now a " TOEFL " course , and try to improve my language
I know there some wrong words , but really I did my best to explain my problem.

Thank you all
