I've never encountered this problem before, but in the past few weeks I've noticed that it's happening more and more. This is a jpeg that I downloaded. If I simply open the jpeg in Photoshop, it opens fine. But if I attempt to open it in Adobe Camera Raw, I get the strange distortion that you see below and the file becomes unworkable.

I have Photoshop CS5, which does not come with a built-in ACR filter. To access ACR, I need to browse in Adobe Bridge and open Camera Raw from there.

Any thoughts?
