Problem with Adjustment Brush in Camera Raw 7.0

Hi gurus, I have a problem with adjustment brush. I realize that whatever adjustment I made to the sliders and cover over the image, the effect does not work. Even after I save the image and such, the adjustments are still not applied to the image. Why is this so? Have I accidentally closed off the settings?

Please help...
