Problem with brushes (probably super easy solution)

Hello Photoshop Gurus Community,

I'm having a simple problem with the brush tool. I was using a default brush I guess to outline certain assets for a cartoon background I'm working on but after playing with the brush settings a bit I can't get it back to how I like it. Here is an image to show what happened:

At first my outline was nice and crisp and pixely, which is actually what I want - But now it's soft and smooths itself apparently. I can't figure out what setting is causing this. Even when I select a hard brush and turn every setting off in the brush panel it is still too smooth, with the opacity taper on the edge of the brush.

Sorry if I'm not explaining this very well, I consider myself pretty seasoned with Photoshop but then once in a while there's something simple like this and I'm floored. Thanks for any help!

look like if it is the same brush you have adjusted the spacing and scattering settings go to window > brush you should see spacing and all sorts of brush dynamic settings.

I've been poking around those setting trying to find out what's smoothing the brush out but having no luck. Thanks for the reply though, I'll keep trying with it.
