The same happens to me and I find it irritating. For me I considered that it was because I use two different computers, a desktop and a laptop, to access the forum. The forum was recognizing each separately and asked about the "push notifications". I have also considered that it's also just the forums software "pushing" (yikes) the push notifications and it times itself out then re-initializes the notification.

This is also a consideration that I've pondered. Because I too have strict security settings that delete all cookies including LSO's. So I believe that this could be the cause of the repetitive popup.

Up to this point it's just been mildly annoying and I really haven't tried to check into the matter. I will do so now after seeing that I'm not the only one it annoys!   I'll get back with you!
