Rectangular Marquee tool transparent ( Like in windows paint)

Hello,
Sorry for the extremely newbie question,
I have a JPG that has 2 images that I want to merge. I'm looking for a tool like windows paint transpare select, that ignores all white pixels

Just to make in the picture attached I present the mspaint tool I'm searching for

mspaint option in Photoshop

Oren,

Go to your preferences: PHOTOSHOP > PREFERENCES > GENERAL, and set your Transparency and Gamut to your liking.

Next......... Set your New document, Background Contents to TRANSPARENT.

From this point forward all new layers will be transparent with the exception of what you place on them! All you need to do now to select an object is to use any of the many selection tools or methods available in Photoshop.
 
However, if you desire to remove an area from an existing image, use the Quick Selection Tool or the Magic Wand Tool to select the object and then copy and paste to a new layer (control/command + J), which will be transparent now.
