Yippiiee - I just remembered how to do it

Have the 2 documents on their own tabs.
Select the picture you want to resize
Select Image / Image size
While the dialogue box is still open select Window / "the name of the other document"

Hey presto the image size is set to the dimensions of the other document.

I am glad I remembered - I thought I was loosing what was left of my mind
