I' don't usually retouch 'cause my forte is photomanipulation. But I've just have Lightroom, so I tried :D. I hope it's not too bad.

It is nice for a first attempt. The face seems a bit bright and the hand, that index finger nail especially, seems weirdly glowy. I know it was almost as bad on the original but it could be fixed in the retouch. I think you just went a little overboard with the highlights.

But, keep it up.

Thank you guys! Can you download the stock and try retouching to show me some example? I want to learn from you. I don't know muck about retouch.

LOL, those who can't do, teach. I don't subscribe to that! But it is funny that I can critique but don't have a lot of experience either. We have members who do, who even specialize in this work, so hopefully one will stop by.

I may give it a go, though I don't have lightroom. I am just saying that the intensity of the picture is fake looking. The eyes are bright as if she were high and the highlight on her breast not subtle enough once you have changed the lighting. Part of retouching is to look critically at what is present in the picture and fix it (such as the hand) as well as to enhance. You have to be careful with enhancements because they can easily wander into the surreal. Unless that's what you want to achieve!

Don't get me wrong. I do think a lot of what you did is very nice, such as the hair, the overall contrast and detail. And this is just my opinion anyway!

I just copied your image, so it wasn't a very good base to work with. I wasn't as careful as I would be if I wanted to do this for real. Nevertheless, this is more or less what I would do. I won't call it great, and of course, some things are just to taste, such as lightening the eyes but not changing the color. Also, your skin is quite well done, just too intense, a bit too even, IMO.

My version is on the left, yours the right. The original is not included.
