Specific Scanned Image Colour Issues

Hi, I don't know if anyone could plese help me with this image. I scanned two images from a book although the spine seperated them so i've done my best to combine them. The problem is however that, as you can see, the colours appear different between the two sections. It is much redder on the left hand side than the right side. Can anyone please advise if there is a way to make it look more uniform? Ideally I'd like it to look more like the right hand side (less red). Thank you, Jenn.

Cloned using Frequency Separation; paint on a blank layer in colour mode to match; reduced proportionally

Here i gave it a try, keeping images original texture. Used (lots of) adjustment layers.
