Soft focus or glamour effect(photoshop)

1. Open image
2. Press control + j
3. Press control + shift + u
4. Add layer mask
5. Go to menu image/apply image/ok
6. Go to menu filter / stylize / find edges
7. Select image box in layer
8. Go to menu filter blur / gaussian blur / radius = 4

Good tip!

You can also do this to get that 80's style Glamor shot look:

Duplicate layer
Add a Gaussian Blur, not too much.
Changed blur layer style to Overlay
Remove the color of the blurred layer (Image>Adjustment>Hue Saturate, take saturation down all the way, or leave it a little to give the photo a saturated look)
Put a 50% transparency on the Blurred layer, or something that looks good.

This puts that 80's style Glamor shot look to the photo.
