By 'rules' I'm refering to things like, layer sets, clipping and masking etc. I'm assuming there are rules only because I get photoshop native docs for correction that are massive. Layer sets, locked and unlocked sets, actions all combined to create a simple page or an ad. Hundreds of layers, Tens of sets. Some almost impossible to repair. These kind of files are so common,, I assume someone, somewhere is teaching photoshop this way. Also, the way Adobe instructs to do many things in the user manual is, in many cases, the very long way around. There's an arrogant SOB I used to work with who actually told me that I "couldn't do things" the way I did them. He'd taken a class in PS. and was taught 'the right way'. I'm with you Patrick. I taught myself. I would probably horrify many PS purists who wouldn't waste any time informing me that I don't know what I'm doing. So, I can show you what 'I' do to achieve certain things. You may not agree with them. PS and I have a very 'organic' relationship. Usually what I want to do, gets done pretty effortlessly, the file is small and very manageable. But then I'm fairly prolific and practice makes *******.
