Student work: chocolate wrapper designs.

OK, so I had to design a FairTrade wrapper for a chocolate bar for in my latest brief at college. I decided to go for all type rather than image so I went along the route of giving a message - the messages on the wrappers are real quotes from real farmers based on what FairTrade has done for them. Feel free to critique away Gurus :)

Re: Student Work: Chocolate Wrapper Design

Erm I'm doing Graphic Design in college and it was a project set by college, completed in college - I don't really know what you mean by actual college work haha ;)

And thanks :)

reason why I say is you aren't allowed to publish college coursework to the net, until a few months after the entire course has been completed, it becomes void the second you do.

I do AS graphics in my college too and that's what i've been told by several sources. ;)

Strange, my tutor encourages us to post our work online on forums, public online portfolios (such as Behance) and to endlessly blog about our work to get some recognition and feedback - its a Extended Diploma rather than A Level maybe different rules apply? I'm not sure tbh :)

yeah, if your tutor is endorsing it, then that's fine, I'd check with the exam board's rules just to be sure.

like you said, the rules could be different with your diploma, just didn't want you to get caught back if it wasn't allowed on the net as all ;)

Very cool concept. For my taste, there are too many different fonts, but I like the colors and the idea. I tend to like super simple designs though, so I'm a bit biased! Good job none-the-less.

I also really like the way you chose to display the chocolates against the black with the reflections. It looks really sleek.

Thanks for the feedback :)
I'm biased in the other direction, but yea I liked it on the black - looked a bit more professional?

Thanks again

I know this type of typography is all the rage in the world of design, but something just doesn't seem right. It may be the use of trademark icons.

This is Facebooks terms for using the 'like' icon.

1. The Like Button may only be used online for the Like Button social plugin functionality which can be found here on our developer site.
2. When using the Like Button in traditional offline media (such as print ads), a textual or visual reference must be made to Facebook.
3. While you may scale the size to suit your needs, you may not modify the Like Button in any other way (such as by changing the design).
4. Do not use the Like Button for online advertising.
5. All use of an unmodified Like Button is acceptable in offline communications.
