Substracting an image from another? (See explaination)

Assume I have two images. "Image 1" is whatever you want. "Image 2" is "Image 1" but with another image half-transparent above it (Image 3 - It could something like a blue image to do as if Image 1 was underwater or somethnig).

Is there anyway to obtain Image 3 trought making the difference of the two original images? In the example Image 3 is just a simple blue, but if it was a texture (actual waves, for example) I would rather not use to color picker to check every single pixel with every possibility of Image 3 to see what is the right one.
 
Unfortunately, there is no way to do what you're asking. As far as Photoshop is concerned image2 + image3 is just one flat image.
