since the new transformers films out now, i thought we could all have a go at those siggy images you see on some peoples signature sections, i made this to start it off - lets see how creative you all are then.
please don't go massive on your images it doesn't help the site :)

It might be a good idea to also create a how to instructions.along with versions, just a thought.

Good idea IDaD...

OK, to recap you make a siggy, BUT you have to explain how you went about making your creation.

-----------------------------

I started with a blank canvas and made that bigger than i actually wanted say 50x100 bigger than i needed, i then made a new rectangular box the size i did need and added a black background to it, i sized the black rectangle within the empty bigger frame until i was happy with frame layout. I then pasted into it a picture of our home planet and resized to fit the black frame i had made.
I then added a texture to the black area creating a space like background, then i added the transformer picture as a new layer altering the colours slightly making them over bright as to give a vibrant and out of picture look, this is why the outer empty layer (original) was made slightly bigger, to take the transformer picture and create the 'out of frame' effect.
The text was last i used a download site for the font (there are many) played around with the settings in the layer styles mainly colour over lays and bevel/emboss and gradients to achieve my desired look and feel.
I then made a new adjustment layer and altered the lighting again, but made this new layer as a overlay - this then adds more colour and depth to the original image in my opinion, i then altered the opacity and fill to again create a good balance (not to dark or to light).
Lastly save it as a PNG file this leaves the outer frame empty in saved mode so when you apply it to a sites board it looks like the figure (or what ever you choose to try) stands out of the actual bordered frame of the signature rectangle.

As you can see i am not the best at explaining how it's done, so please don't feel to shy or feel you lack the word savvy, we all work at differing levels of ability in anything we do.
