Unique plugin - Panopticum Lens Pro

I immediately downloaded the demo and...errr....this is (holds breath)...VERY tempting...

Ahhh...you....THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE PLUGIN...and I just added it to my collection. Together with the Engraver and the AlphaStrip.

The Panopticums are fast and incredibly versatile. LensPro has lots of settings and you can play with it at least a whole rainy weekend without exhausting the possibilities.

The demos do work, probably temporarily, or with a limited number of times.

On the downside: my birthday money is already spent and I still have to wait several weeks before dabigday... [honesty] ...

Warning, warning: when you buy LensPro3, you get a code for lenspro2.0 which does not work!
I mailed Oleg Okhrimets at admin@panopticum.com and I hope to get a quick and satisfying reply. With a valid serial. It *is* bizarre: they only sell LensPro 1.2 and 3, and they send me a message "thanks for buying LensPro 3, here is your key for lensPro2. Which does not even exist. Ahhh...amateurism!!! [doh] [upset]

Oooh! Oooh! Oooh! Oooh! Oooh! [excited] I very much want this one!!!!
(panting at the thought) I'm off to download the demo right now! ;)

Gauss, thanks! :D You do find some great stuff! :righton:
What an amazing result with that glass ball after only less than a minute... [confused] [saywhat]

DON'T BUY YET! Share-It, the reseller for Panopticum sends you a key for version 2 which does not work for version 3. I got no answer yet from admin@panopticum.com so I now sent a mail to support@panopticum.com in the hope that they will respond.

I understand your enthusiasm: I feel the same, and their Engraver filter is also wowowow (this serial does work), and when you buy one, you get reduction on other ones too.
Yet: wait a bit until I got a reply. And a working serial.
Or take your chance...

;) Thanks for the "heads up", Erik! I will just content myself to "play" with the demo, for the time-being, and will wait to buy only when I'm confident that you've gotten satisfaction... :\

What do you mean, Gauss?
Are you too waiting to get a working serial, or are you still playing with the demo? My demo gives ugly lines over the image...

BTW: you know these guys?

Erik, did you download the version for After Effects or Photoshop? apparently, version 3.0 is for AfterEffects, and 2.0 is Photoshop. At least, it may be, but it's confusing. Under the "Photoshop" part, it lists 2.0 under the Photo FX bundle, but 3.0 for the individual filter.

BTW, some of these filters (Fire, Engraver, and Digitalizer) are also offered by http://www.adobefx.com/ I don't know if they were bought out, or not.

(Edit to add:) Plus, the PluginGalaxy listed is also listed as a product of The Plugin Site

Oopsie! I was looking at the Mac version, which is 2.0. Windows should be 3.0. They prolly sent you the serial # for the Mac version.

Oooh ya that does look nice :righton:

Particles system will just be for AE wont it? [stuned]

Stu.

I checked it out :) ,I thought it meant particle system as in 3d app type particle system.

Still very impressive.

Stu.

Whoa, that looks really kewl, I am gonn have to check that out.

Still no reply...
It's nearly weekend, and I suppose I will have to try and block the VISA transfer of my money. If blocking under these conditions is accepted that is...
If not,...I will have to warn all people on all PS forums of this so that at least others can stay free from this.

Julie, sorry, but it is not a mac key I suppose:

[doh] How aggravating and disappointing not to have heard back from anyone, as yet!!!! Let's hope that this problem gets resolved today, Erik!. I just wonder how many others are in the same boat as you! [confused]

Again, thanks for the "heads up"... ;)

Erik, I assume you've resubmitted the email? Possibly send them a link to this thread? I doubt if they want bad publicity. Let's just hope it's a "stuff happens" glitch in their normal service/support routine. Looks like a good set of filters.

I do suppose that they're OK: the demo worked fine, and their engraver plugin is a real beauty too. They also get very high reviews in magazines like Computer Arts etc. So I do suppose it is a glitch, and that they're on holiday (LensPro3 was released two weeks ago), but still...I seem to attract this kind of situation...like life wanting me to learn to show my teeth... :D :D :D
