Hi,
I have an image with image size 55,88 cm x 55,88 cm. I would like to split in 4 parts. I divide and then I'm trying to save with option "Save for web". The problem is that when I open the 4 parts it gives me other meausurement (116x116)
Someone could help me to have the correct measurement?
Thanks and sorry for my English!

What is the size that you are making of 1 division of the 4 parts?

I divide image in 4 parts (55'88/4)
Yes, I understand this.

What are the individual sizes after you have divided them? I know what they should be, but I need you to tell me what you did!

55.88cm = 22 inches

22in x 22in
one division = 11in x 11in ( 27.94cm x 27.94cm )

What did you do with the division? Describe how you treated the division and how you saved it. Did you move the division to it's own document before saving?

I noticed that you have been online and viewed this thread since I last responded.

I really can't help you unless your willing to explain your workflow/process. The 4 parts that you claim opened in 116cm x 116cm did not do this all by themselves. At some point there was a mistake made and we may never know unless your willing to explain what you did.

I realize there's a language barrier, but please do your best.

The problem could be the PPI of the original document, as this has not been mentioned.
If the 4 sections are saved with Save For Web the PPI could be removed and will default to 72

Sorry for the delay and many thanks for your interest.
I have image

Captura.PNG

Then I go divide in sectors with slice tool and then save for web:

Captura2.PNG

It generates 4 files but with 116cm

According to your sample images (screenshots) your document is 6600px x 6600px
Screen Shot 2019-02-16 at 8.28.34 AM.png

Screen Shot 2019-02-16 at 8.16.24 AM.png

6600px x 6600px = 232.83cm

232.83cm x 232.83cm divided by 4 will give 4 divisions measuring 116.42cm x 116.42 cm (3300px x 3300px)

Whats the problem? Everything seems to be right.

(don't use commas) 55.88cm x 55.88cm document size = 1584px x 1584px pixel dimensions. You have a 6600px pixel dimension.

Something went wrong when you resized the document.

But why change pixel/inch. I would like to the image divide by cm (55 cm / 2 = 22,5) , in the image results it shows me:

What version pf Ps are you using?

Are you typing the comma when you enter cm? 55,88? You should use a decimal............. 55.88

Hi mmm286

First to IamSam - I am pretty sure that many countries Photoshop version use the common instead of decimal e.g. UK regions.

As far as the centimeter value being 55.88 / 2 = 27.94 (mmm286, you had a math error above), this is a simple matter of changing the ppi without resampling. So:

1) Uncheck the resample image checkbox
2) Type in 300 PPI instead of the 72 ppi
3) Click OK
4) Done

The cm issue should be corrected

It was already brought up by Paul MR yet when you used Save for Web your PPI was changed from 300 to 72 which was the cause of the issue for the different cm numbers. So an easy fix back to your 300 ppi (photoshop is not perfect).

I could be wrong yet I believe this is the issue.

Hope this is helpful

I tested my theory in CS6 which uses that old "image size" interface window. Every time I used a comma in typing centimeteres, it failed to work...........when I used a decimal it worked. Not sure why.

However...........in older versions of Ps, I think the comma was added by Ps no matter how it was typed.
