Where did my Asterisk go?

New here...have a quick question that I can't seem to be able to figure out...

I've recently had to re-install my OS and re-install Master Collection...

However, the little Asterisk that shows up in the comp title bar that indicates your comp has unsaved changes is not showing up for whatever reason, I've search the web and can't seem to find any info on why it's not showing up so thought I'd ask here hoping someone might know if there is a setting that I'm missing or something?

I've had to re-install various times before and never had this problem before...and the Asterisk shows up in Pr and AE like it should...just not PS...

Anyways, thought I'd see if anyone knew anything about this before I try installing yet again just to see if it changes...

thanks :)

Are you seeing this on a newly opened document or a document you've done modifications?

A newly opened or freshly created document won't show this. It should appear once you've made a change on the document.

CS3...I know, I know, old school :)

I have CS6 on the way but it has not arrived yet...however, liked mentioned before I've had to re-install CS3 in the past and never had this issue...I mean the program works fine...no issues there, just frustrating not having that little tell tail sign, didn't realized how much I relied on that till it wasn't there anymore LOL...

Couldn't figure it out either.

The asterisk doesn't appear in earlier versions of Photoshop. I was thinking you had CS 1 or 2.

But you never had this problem before..... with CS3.

You re-installed your CS, have you downloaded and installed the CS3 updates?
