Why is my lighting doing this?

So look at this photo

I want to change the color. So I bring it in Photoshop, This is what happens:

Now see this does not happen with other photos similar to this one:

as i see the first image, it can consist of 2 different part. one is your red png you posted and the other is a white gradient placed over the png. so if you wanna change the red, just do it using the png, and place a layer with a white to blank gradient over the png's layer.
but if you would like to change the white, then make whatever color gradient you like...
