    are you leaving quick mask before you apply it to the layer? You can do this be pressing Q and you should see the selection on the area you want then make it into a layer mask

    Really nice Chris! The only thing I would say is the shadow on the left side of the woman in the foregrounds face could be abit darker. Similar to her arm in the shadow and it will really make her sit into the background. Not sure if people agree but just what I reckon.
