So as most of you dont know i used to make a ton of abstract art that most people liked then one day i just kind of stopped. So here i am shaking off over a years worth of rust on the subject and about 4 hours into this piece and this is what i ended up with.

Hope you guys like it!

I like the idea and the concept, a lot actually, yet to me it seems like a 'poster-in-progress'.
If I were to make this piece I would probably want to make the main-part of the poster, the dear Marilyn, come out more by not covering her with the paint. Of course the two parts would have to merge into each other, but I would stick to making the edge of her have the explosive effect. Especially her face loses its 'purpose' and effect when it does not stand out from the paint around, under and most of all above it. If somehow you could make her hair a part of the explosion of paint above her head, like the two tangeling together, I am certain that the outcome would be way more effectful - and in my eyes better looking.

But again; the potential of the idea and concept is very nice, but the overall critique would be that it has not been made to its fullest.

I hope this makes sense.

I can see where your coming from but on the other hand its abstract art, which only makes sense in the eyes of the artist.

I can not argue with that. When I make some piece of whatever sort of art I always want to make sure that it connects with those seeing it, but of course I am not very experienced - at all - in abstract art, so I will not try to make any more points on that matter.
