I was bored


Use the pen tool to make a design. Then I set up an action to stroke and rotate the path 2°. Repeated the action multiple times. Then copied the result to a new layer and rotated it, did this several times to get the complete circle with random overlaps. Merged the layers, then layer styles, gradient fill, bevel emboss, drop shadow, and so forth to suit you.

Play around with it, you can get some interesting results.

Say, does anyone remember that toy where you get circles and you put a pencil in and just rotate & it makes numerous shapes? I am sure you must have had it as kids...I just can't remember the name..
