Idea is good, even great (got something like that in mind myself ) and that's probably why i would like to see something diferent ... and my english just stoped at that moment.
Maybe you'll understand, these block's lines going thought blocks which are out "wall". I believe it would look cooler is these blocks would go above them and would be little smoother/carefull. But that's just me.

Good job anyway.
