I actually prefer the first idea. I like how the words are inside of the moon. however that "..." should be inside too. Also, i dont really like either moon, the first one is the better of the two tho. the second one doesnt look like a moon at all, to me. the first one is alright, but i think you should spend more time shading it better. i also really like the font of the 1st one, its unique. the other font is just plain cursive you see everywhere. but the pic is still missing something in my opinion. just cant figure out what.

Tattoos are a very personal thing, DO NOT take anyones advice except your registered and work known approved artist. As far as asking about designs, go for it. But please remember it's on your skin for ever unless you decide it was a mistake and go for surgery later (which hurts more than the original tattoo).

Take on board what people say about there own opinions of your designs BUT go with what you like at the end please, i understand all of what i just said because i tattoo people all the time, and have sat and had to listen to the stories people sit and tell me while i try and redo poor artwork or just them having the wrong design in the first place, most times i end up telling them nothing can be done - ONLY SURGERY.

This is not aimed at Brandon or anyone else who posts an idea, hey i have a couple myself, but just keep in mind it's your body at the end of the day.
Go for a shaded moon image across the left side of the moon only fading into the lettering (no colours) think about your font also, like Brandon said, that is a common font, tattoos are personal and being original works.

One idea maybe, you see how an idea looks totally different in reality, ok my shop skills are not great, but they give you some idea of whats what:)

And think about your font choice, i put this on as a show you exercise NOT my choice of font.

Thanks for the replies guys, I deffinetly agree about the moon needing something, I was thinking shaded craters maybe but cudn't get them to look right

Sorry for interrupting with little offtopic but it's reminded my old anecdote about tatoo:

Guy (G) walks in tatoo saloon and ask tatoo master (M)
G - Can you make me a tatto?
M - Which one?
G - Tank. Can you?
M - Piece of cake, lay down.
... after short while.
M - Okey, done.
G - Wow, incredible, so fast!
M - Nothing special, it's just 4 letters afterall.

i was actually going to say that, if you could maybe make some craters but i didnt know if it would come out right on your skin. as a pic it would be great, but its a tattoo so i didnt know....

That would work as a tattoo, the 'moons' craters are there only by reference (in effect), so yes this would work - great idea.

had an idea, why not try to incorporate the moon into the letter O somewhere....

maybe different phases of the moon in each
ie: halfmoon, crescent moon,etc......

Tattoo is a very personal thing, do not take anyone's advice, in addition to your registration and approval of the work as artists. The inquiry design, go. But remember it's skin, unless you decide to always be a mistake to go after surgery.
