I told her to download it last friday She said she didnt want to get dependant on filters and forget how to do things manually lol.

here is my attempt using the image Hoogle posted
3 filters used.
the "Lighting Effects" filter, Reduce Noise" filter, and "Gaussian blur" filter
dont know if you would call the "Shadow/Highlights" a filter but i used that also

Yup. And I had to post the 6-word TOPAZ idea after her rhetoric.... lol...

Screw you both!
(Oh, heck, JK)
But ...
If you really loved me, you would have bought me the filters just to show me how wonderful my work could be if I used them... in addition to all those other filters in PS that really are no different from using Topaz filters even if Topaz filters have about 6 steps built into one action and PS filters are one change at a time. But then, who's counting?
Me? go ballistic? Never.

MMMM I am sure that is what I said to you the other day. Filters\ plugins make processes quicker and easier but not really any different to using photoshop built in filters.

Even just having the filters rarely is it just a 1 click solution I often blend various filters together to get the effect.

wow!! that is amazing works u guys did there.. really a pro... so i went to the topaz web u mentioned... i see a lot of things and dont know which one should i download for trial... any suggestions..?

i tried topaz and this is what i got... i dont know how to adjust the settings like "apply the effect on selected areas only" ... kinda hard for me... and looks unrealistic to me too... LoL... any suggestions might help and thanks everyone in this thread for helping me out...

i learn a lot of additional plugins from this forum as well... i now know bokeh and this topaz...
can u as well suggest me a great plugins providing the lens effect? i know bokeh and topaz had it.. but im looking for specific plugins for lens only.. so i can have the effect of wide angle lens, as well as fisheye lens and so on.. from the best paid program (hopefully theres a trial) or maybe a freeware? thank you
