This is a composite landscape I created while passing the time. I thought it might give someone a little enjoyment to check it out.

Nice try, but being honest, in my opinion it doesn't work this time, too much going on with different focus, image quality even combining real with painting, looks messy and fake.

The sizes/distances are clearly wrong, for example look at the birds/house, guy on the path/tree and bushes, hope it's understadanble.

Cheers and keep trying!

WOOT! :) Thank you, guys for the input. Especially regarding the Perspective tool. As I said, I was just fiddling around on photoshop and threw together some pieces to kill time productively. :) I think I will try to keep evolving this and see what it leads me to. Also, you are exactly right about image quality. These were just random bits that slapped together for something to do. I appreaciate you taking the time to critique.

Well its good to see a member doing composites and show them!
Thanks for sharing.
I'd say keep up the good work.
When having time to do one, half the time spended on the project consists of choosing carefully the pictures to use...

Here's a follow-up. Better image selection. A bit more time spent on this one. I actually had a weird dream that inspired this one. I welcome any comments or critique.

The bottom of the house need some work, the vegetation with the waterfall in the middle it's and ambicoius idea that would require a lot of time and work to make it at least look decent.

The light and contrast on the house is wrong and make it look pasted.

My advice start with something less ambicous and simple like the house on top of the mountain and try everything to make it look as part of the image, step by step XD.

Cheers!

I want you guys to know how much a really do appreciate you taking your taken to check out my efforts and provide your input. I'm always trying new things, usually in the interest of pushing farther and farther out of my comfort areas. I know you guys are probably living and breathing photoshop, like me, which is what I value your feedback so much. :) Nothing better than well-informed critique from your peers. :) Muchas gracias! :)

Sorry I'm late to this party.

I noticed some major lighting contradictions. All arrows indicate light direction. The midground mountain even has different lighting but it's at least coming from the right direction (sort of). I know it's been mentioned, but the perspective of the house is off. The Dragons shadowing through the clouds is too sharp, they would be much more diffuse. Yet another lighting problem is that in order to cast a shadow through clouds, the Dragons would have to be backlit.

No problem, I'm here to help you out!

I also noticed that the lighting on the waterfall and the trees is coming from our left while all other lighting on the mountains is coming from the right. I think you are off to great start so it's important for you to understand that lighting must be consistent throughout a composited image. This will help improve the believability of the image.
