    Billboard Ad...

    I'd contact the people who will evently print/produce the final sign and find out from them what artwork specification they require and work from there. There's no point spending ages on a design if it can't be reproduced. AaronS.

    Question about redirecting pages

    Thats probably the best solution :}. Although they're convenient I'd avoid HTTP refreshes like the plague. AaronS.

    Extract tool is bad ?

    I know it doesn't help Lee much now, but I see Vertus have recently added a user support forum to their website. At least it's a step in the right direction. AaronS.

    Extract tool is bad ?

    I noticed in the past several of their tutorials used jpgs to demo the product and they've since added the following to the faqs on their site: What is the best image file format to work with? A RAW file is best. If this needs to be compressed and you?are asking what is the best file format to...

    3D Blender 2.4

    Anyone checked out Blender recently? I've been messing around it with for a couple of days and although the UI is a little odd, it looks promising for Open Source. AaronS.

    FWIW the price of the Fluid Mask plugin has since been reduced to a less eye-watering $249 and the free upgrade period increased to a full year from the 6 months it was before. Still a bloody good tool though. AaronS.? 8}

    Lee, So you reckon it knocks the socks off Knockout 2. :) I can't say I've ever used it. We've largely stuck to the Pen Tool/Quick Mask method until recently. AaronS.

    Extract tool is bad ?

    That's the million dollar question I suppose. Incidently I was taking the prices from the VertusTech website. The disparity between products prices and the exchange rate is another thread entirely. ;) AaronS.

    Extract tool is bad ?

    I agree. How they have arrived at their price puzzles us here too, although there are those companies that might consider the price a good deal. If you handle lots of extractions on a regular basis (for example producing mail-order catalogs) and it reduces the time to do them from an hour...

    Extract tool is bad ?

    Yeah the price is a little jaw-dropping, but easily offset in a busy studio. There's no sign of a Windows version yet. The latest we heard was end of August possibly. AaronS.
