Just for fun: Surviving St. Patrick's Day

Sure, I've started me stew already as well.... #5 of lamb bit and chunks on the hob as we speak, burbling softly to itself. Potatoes in tomorrow, carrots, parsnips and onions on Tuesday, and then a few days to just sit and make the shanty oderiferous, indeed. Bit of Porter on Thursday...

JelSoft VBulletin: windowsbbs.com Thread Tools>Mark This Thread As Solved

    G'Day!

Actually, I checked out half.com and found quite a few Photoshop 7.0 instruction books, both by Adobe and by others. Bought 4 different ones for a total cost (incl shipping) of $18 USD. Never underestimate the values you can find! Thanks for the tip on the books!

Aha! Danke! Not "lock" the thread but "mark" it as solved or "closed". The act of marking it so may then be taken to mean "the problem enumerated IS and has been solved to the OP's satisfaction in this thread". Further postings are still possible (and- all too often -required) to present a...

    Donation idea

Just stirring the pot. For WindowsBBS Forum, a paid (life) membership only gets you no ads on the forum, but it's a good way to "give back" for the help received to support the forum and the hardware needed to keep things running. I've been here one day and have already had my bacon pulled...

    Some thoughts/questions/ideas

Several of the other VB-powered boards have a few little extra fillips which I personally find useful and which do help winnow the chaff from the wheat: Ability to edit one's own post: Especially useful for fat-fimble-fungered people like myself who eiter cannot splee or their syntax to pay...

    resource download section?

If I could suggest: Use a Google generic site search function: Let's take one of Zeealex's suggestions: "textures". In the Google search bar, type: textures, then leave a space and type site:photoshopgurus.com, then hit the enter key. For most sites on the web you can enter a term, then...

    Two questions from an idiot.

OK: I've been using Photoshop 7.0 on XP Sp3 but I've never really gotten the nomenclature of stuff down very well... consequently, I have a tough time finding solutions to things when I don't know what to call the "things" I'm trying to correct. (If that made sense, I'll have a double of what...

    G'Day!

(frayedknots chews his gums, shifts in the rocking chair and uses the spittoon...) Thank'ee kindly, chilluns! I've already got questions that got me squirmin' but which are probably simple as anything... I'll post 'em in the General Question area!

    G'Day!

I'm a complete idjiit when it comes to using Photoshop (7.0) on a WIN XPpro SP3. I can never seem to find the correct term for what I'm doing/want to do/attempting to destroy and so I just keep punching buttons until "something" works. I've managed to get a 'fair' grip on the most basic...
