Help choosing a Mini PC for Photoshop

Strange how things work. The Intel unit is dearer in USA and the AMD is cheaper - go figure. Conversion for today's currency is US799 = AU1266 and $1335.

Help choosing a Mini PC for Photoshop

Thanks Sam. I'm opposite to you and have used a PC since I started in the 80's. I won't be changing any time soon :) I love my ProArt monitors, ASUS 2787CV, nbo cillibration needed and brilliant colours. The AMD at Amazon Australia is AU$1231 and the IT13 is AU$1019. I don't mind paying extra...

Help choosing a Mini PC for Photoshop

I have been researching for a while now on a good Mini Pc that's capable of running Photoshop without any issues. I have decided on 2 models, both Geekom. I will purchase through Amazon (Australia). I like that they have a 3 year warranty and 2 HDMI ports for my dual monitor (Asus ProArt) setup...

    Saving JPG files in PS

Thank you John. I can't see any differences in the large and small jpg files. It would be great if PS let the user select the amount of compression required. Thanks so much for your detailed reply - much appreciated.

    Saving JPG files in PS

Hi all. Can anyone explain why Photoshop is reducing the size (not dimentions) from 8MB to 3.5MB when I save as a JPG? I open a JPG (size 7.4MB), add a 10 adjustment layers with masks and save the PSD file. I then select: File > Save As > select JPEG (*.JPG;*.JPEG;*.JPE) for "Save as type:" None...

    Help identifying a filter.

I created this image by following a Youtube tutorial by Marty from Blue Lightning TV afew years ago. I lost all files from a ransomware attack and I would like to know what the filter was that created this effect, so I can search for the tutorial. Thanks in advance,

    Styles

Hi Crew, I have several layers with various effects, modes and opacity. Is there a way to save all of those adjustments as a single style or do I need to save each layer's adjustments as a separate style? TIA - appreciated.

    PSD file size

Thanks @lumigraphics but I don't use Lightroom because all of my editing and creative artwork is done in ACR and Photoshop. Everything Lightroom does I can do in Photoshop and ACR, so I have no need for Lightroom. If I send a PSD to anyone, it is sent as a complete PSD so I have no issue in that...

    PSD file size

Thanks John. Much appreciated. I did the preferences change and the file size dropped from 439 MB to 417 MB (saving 22 MB).

    PSD file size

Hi All. I'm interested to know if it's possible to have Photoshop remove the Hi-Res preview that is included when saving a PSD file. I have added a solid white layer to the top of the layers panel and this reduces the file size by only having the white layer as the preview. Thanks in advance for...

    Hue/Sat problem

I don't rush for new versions of anything so I'm OK to wait. There seems to be a lot of bugs that need to be fixed. I'm a patient fellow. I'll live with 2020 for now.

    Hue/Sat problem

Hello Gurus. I add a new Hue/Sat adjustment layer and make adjustments using the sliders. If I select another layer then re-select the Hue/Sat Layer the 3 sliders have returned to "0" and aren't retaining the slider locations. Is there a way to retain the position of the sliders? It would help...

    Specific Replace Moon

When the buildings are in focus, the moon will mostly be blown out with little to no detail and the bright halo shows as in the original. 2 to 3 shots at different exposures (bracketing) would allow for more detail of the moon, so here is my version of what a blended image might look like.
