    How to make a portrait like this

    your best bet would be invest into a graphic pad. the pen tool I think this would be a tedious task. but definitly you gotta break away from the mouse

    Thanks Argos I see what you mean about the clothes and the background. I used the same painting techniques but I guess my laziness shows on the clothes, thinking that part could be fixed with a little minor adjustment. As for the back ground ,which I love about forum it gives you another eye...

    Most certainly your on the right track. I think though through my experience you got to be careful with some tutorials because sometimes they are missing steps and get you frustrated but don't let that discourage you be hard headed and keep at it. I say time was my best teacher. :thumbsup:
