    when I say cleaning, i mean removing all noise from the fabric texture in the scan so i can index the file down to around 5 colours. The file size is 524MB so i'm not sure if i can upload it here. here is a screen shot of the design and here is a close up of the noise

So sometime when I'm indexing an image down to 12 or less colours it can create these stray pixels that appear in parts of the design which they aren't intended to be.     I've been experiencing this too. reveal all showed nothing extra. tried cropping the image down in case there were any stray pixels but there was nothing and it continued to act this way.
