    ok,..lol i done it once, but i cant remeber how i done it...:) ok, i create my reactangle. I place the gradient color i want for it. ok i go to rec. marquee tool and put a rec. within my first red. ok i want to transform this rec. so i do a 37 degree inward. now i want to delete that portion...

    thx for the tip. ok i did the first part you said. cover the whole pic "soft" 100% now im at the gradient "soft" 50% everytime i go to the lower portion of the pic, its doing the entire pic. Im starting to get the \hang of the layers but sometimes i lose track. im cramming all this in...
